Sunset @ Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh

The good thing about Dalhousie is that the mall road is mostly empty of stalls and shops and is a great place to take a walk with your camera. There are rest benches at strategic locations from where you can see some spectacular views. If you are adventurous, you can also go on the terraces of the hotels to lean out into the valley and click that absolutely priceless shot.

However, Mall road is best for day time shots and sunset is not visible clearly from there. For the sunset, the quiet road right behind my hotel was the best.

All of the shots below are taken from that road.

The branches in this shot add more value to the shot. Even though a plain sunset would have been beautiful too, but having some objects in the picture makes it more ineteresting.

In this picture, the theme is still sunset but the focus has shifted to the mobile service towers and the water body behind them. This was the Ranjit Singh Dam.

The quiet street that provided excellent view of the sunset. The slanting rays hitting the road at an angle give a surreal appearance to the scene.
