Himachal Pradesh University is situated on a hill in Summerhill station which is very near to Viceregal Lodge aka Indian institute of Advanced Studies.... I have spent approximately 3 years in HPU Campus for my Engineering... Since its on a Hill-top we only see a small part of University at a time.. Here I am sharing some of the main buildings with small description about there location...
Himachal Pradesh University was established in 1970... which is a public university in Shimla, India. The suburban campus in Summerhill hosts approximately 30 teaching departments among other subjects like Bhoti (a Tibetan language), ayurveda, and yoga.
Arts Department near to main entry gate of Himachal Pradesh University... This building is clearly visible on left side as we enter through the gate near Shimla-5 Post-Office....
Main Administrative Block... The building on right side has a big auditorium, VC Office and other offices for Dean of Studies n other high officials of University... The Building in the middle is Examination Branch where students can get results n other relevant stuff...
Himachal Pradesh University Campus is really a beautiful and sprawling campus... Its stunning surroundings present a panoramic view of snow-peaked mountains, freshening air, silver-oak, pine and deodar trees. The healthy climate and pleasing atmosphere are ideally suited for studies, research and higher education...
HPU Library and the place where I have spent a lot of time during Campus Placements :-) ... Otherwise its a good place to see University crowd... It has a ground outside and SBI bank ATM for students...
Law Department of Himachal Pradesh builing.... This is near to Summerhill market and main Lunch Dhabas are near to this building... I am forgetting the name of Uncle Ji who serve Rajmah-Chaval in 20 Rs.. n his food was really good...
Netaji Subhash Building: UIIT, an Institute for B.Tech in Information Technology, MCA Department and Biotechnology department... This builing is near to Library after Coffee shops near Library... This builing comes on the right when we go towards administrative Block..
Physics Department of Himachal Pradeh Builing which is just in front of Main Library... n here is the ground I was talking about... Dr P.K. Ahluwalia is currenty heading the department.. n I am fan of this great fellow who is really passionate about technology.. I am resisting myself to right anything about hi because it will be endless... Ahluwalia Ji is the person behind successful execution of UIIT and he is the man due to whom we are placed in good companies and moving ahead in life...
