We spent some time around the Jama Masjid and then headed to Tomb of Ahmed Shah and Rani no Hajiro. Let's talk about how to reach Jama Masjid in Old Ahemdabad of Gujrat?    You can get Auto-rickshaw to Manik Chowk from any part of the city. Don't opt for Uber/Ola as taxis don't come to this part. It's pretty congested area where only auto-rickshaw & cycle-rickshaws can be found. If you are close-by, walk can be another decent option as there are lot of options on the way to observe & explore. Let's talk about how to reach Jama Masjid in Old Ahemdabad of Gujrat?

The Jam Masjid in Ahmedabad is built with yellow sandstone. This mosque has a large rectangular courtyard which is approximately 75 meters long and 66 meters wide. Visitors enter the court by three entrances, one at the center of each side. The courtyard is lined with a colonnade on three sides, the prayer hall occupies the fourth side. The prayer room inside Jam Masjid of Ahmedabad is also rectangular and covered by four domes. Some of the central domes are carved like lotus flowers, closely related to the typical domes of Jain temples and some of the pillars are carved with the form of a bell hanging on a chain, in reference to the bells that often hang in Hindu temples.

Jama Masjid is located in old walled city of Ahmedabad and is situated outside Bhadra Fort area, along the south side of the road extending from Teen Darwaza to Manek Chowk. We were walking from Teen Darwaza towards Rani no Hajiro and Jama Masjid comes on the way, towards right side of the road.
