Will it be surprising if I say that Old Town is one of the most visited Tourist place in Warsaw, Poland

It was my first day in Warsaw and in Poland. I landed in Warsaw at around 11am and after checking in to my hotel, I headed towards my office. It was a business trip. I had my lunch in office and then worked for a while. It was Friday and most of the folks were leaving the office at around 5pm. One of the colleagues suggested me to go to the Old Town in the evening and walk down to my hotel from there.

Saurabh & I headed towards old town. We switched on GPS on my phone and we started walking towards Old Town. The weather in April was awesome in Warsaw and walking in the town is probably the best way to explore. We were loving each street on our way and some of the shopping complexes. There were plenty of eating joints on the way. On our way we noticed beautiful buildings, probably pretty old buildings which were very photogenic and my Travellingcamera loved shooting them all. I may not have processed them all but almost every big & beautiful building on our way to Old Town is captured. I am yet to find out details of all those buildings. Supposedly, Warsaw has plenty of historic buildings and each of them has very long and interesting history. So if you like to explore the town well, a week can be less. So all depends upon what all you want to do in the town and how.

We also experienced the transportation system in Warsaw. As we were crossing the streets, we noticed different kinds of buses, cabs & trains passing by. Public transpiration system looked pretty strong although I am not very sure how it's in relatively smaller towns of the country. If it's good, I would love to room around some of the smaller towns of the country to understand it well.

After a while we were close to the Royal Palace. Suddenly lot of things changes. All streets around this place were full of people walking around. There is huge area close to Sigimund Cloumn and the base of this column is used for taking rest when people need break after a lot of walk around Old Town. Reaching close to Old Town we also found a place where we could get some currency exchange. We were carrying Euros and not every place accepts euros, especially if you are buying smaller stuff. PNL is mainly in demand and conversion was 4 PNL for 1 EURO.

As we were roaming around the streets of the Old Town, we came across this place where a huge bell was placed and was surrounded by beautiful houses in bright colors.

During this walk we witnessed some of the brilliant Architectural pieces I have ever seen and that too in a small area of Old Town and it's neighborhoods.

While walking around the Old Town of Warsaw, the capital city of Poland, we came across this beautiful church which is just next to the Royal Palace in the city. St. John's Archcathedral is one of Poland's national pantheons and stands immediately adjacent to Warsaw's Jesuit church. Along with the city, the church has been listed by UNESCO as of cultural significance. This Photo Journey shares a few photographs of the exteriors of the church and it's surroundings. We missed going inside as some ceremony was happening at that point of time and we didn't come back to this place during our visit to Warsaw.

Overall I loved a lot walking around Old Town in Warsaw and thoroughly enjoyed it's green landscapes surrounded by heritage structures and I loved the fact that authorities have done something right to preserve this place and I am sure it took multiple iterations if we look at the history of Warsaw City.

Tell us if you went to a place and found it hard to locate a dustbin. Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem. Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits. Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite
