Last year I was in Bengaluru for a conference and during those 2 days I had done booking in Novotel for stay. Main reason for choosing Novotel was the distance from conference venue. Conference was planned at The Park, which had no room available on those dates. This post shares about my experience at Novotel and few tips to make your stay even better in Bengaluru.
Since it's located in TechPark, it's a good option for folks visiting TechPark area of Bengaluru for business. There are multiple stay options and Novotel is relatively costly options, but services offered make it worth. Stay for 2 nights costed me around 19,000 rs. Booking was done through my office vendor so I am sure that if you plan in advance and directly work with the hotel, there is a possibility to crack better deal.
Let me give some idea about the commute in and around Bengaluru. Shared cabs are best options in this area - cost effective and you don't need to wait a lot. Getting private cabs is a little challenge as morning & evening commuters are in huge number & getting that much cabs in this area is a challenge because of road infrastructure. Novotel has tie-up with some corporates for whom they provide free drop and pickup from/to hotel. E.g. - All Adobe employee can ask them to drop in office and pick in the evening.
If we talk about food, there are plenty of options in breakfast - North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Continental etc. There is huge array of dishes served in each cuisine along with variety of drinks, desserts and fruits. Breakfast is usually included when you book a room, unless you crack different kind of deal and not really interested in opting for breakfast. That may be one of the cases when you schedule doesn't allow it.
My schedule never allowed me to try lunch or dinner at the hotel, so can't really comment on that.
If you schedule allows, Novotel offers drinks between 6pm-8pm for all guests for free. This includes alcoholic drinks as well.
Overall my stay was comfortable here and if my budget allows, I would certainly prefer Novotel over other brands in same segment.
