Magical Moon can transform your Architecture Photographs

Instagram is one of the popular platforms to share photographs and photo stories. Some of the photographers are making great use of the platform to share their work with the world in interesting way. Recently I came across an account which had all the photographs with same post-processing style and that's how I explored Moon effect of Instagram. All photographs in this Photo Journey have Moon filter.

Some of these photographs look better in colors but when it comes to story telling, a consistent look is important and I think, Moon gives appropriate feel to the architecture photographs. Have a look at all these photographs and share if you differ and have some ideas around the same.

I never paid so much attention to the effect/filter and which photographs can be best fit for them. It was always about hit and trial. And then conclude the one which looks better. I don't mean that approach I used to take earlier is not right, but probably less learning as compared to the approach wherein you know about the effects and can think of relevant photographs. The sense of matching a frame with the post-processing style is an extremely difficult skill to develop. And it can happen only when you consciously think about changes you do in a frame.

While I write this, I wonder what apart from Architecture can be suitable for Moon effect. Portraits, Landscapes? Not sure. There are always chances that an effect can be applied to various types of photographs. But it's ore about finding a style for your photographs of particular genres. Most of the thoughts shared in this post still need more refinement and hopefully, I would re-share something similar when I have better idea.
