Interestingly 2015 saw 3 guest posts on Grand Canyon and all of them were quite popular throughout the year.

Animesh shared 2 popular Guest posts this year and we are already fan of him photography. Look forward to more beautiful Photo Journeys in 2016.

A group of friends driving on a lonely highway in dark with lost GPS connection amidst heavy snowfall. Well, that is a one line description of the night we reached Grand Canyon Village. We couldn’t admire the beauty of the place at night but as soon as the sun rose above the horizon , we were left spellbound by the sheer beauty of this place. Here are some snaps from Grand Canyon trip. This was the lodge we stayed at. It was cosy and simply beautiful. Grand Canyon is one of the main tourist places in USA and folks who visit Las Vegas definitely try to plan a day tour to Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the state of Arizona in the United States. It is contained within and managed by Grand Canyon National Park , the Hualapai Tribal Nation, theHavasupai Tribe and the Navajo Nation. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of preservation of the Grand Canyon area, and visited it on numerous occasions to hunt and enjoy the scenery. This place is a paradise for Photography lovers and especially folks who are interested in Landscape photography. There are different modes of traveling to Grand Canyon. There are various bus tours which can be booked from Las Vegas. They pick you in the morning and drop in the evening after a guided tour. Some of these tours also include Hoover dam. If you are in a group, you may want to hire a car and drive through these beautiful roads around the canyon. One should carry some sort of packaged food with them as few options are available especially for vegetarians . Grand Canyon is extremely big that a whole day could be spent here. However , we stayed for just an hour since we had to travel to another city as part of our plan. During the entire travel time , we were enchanted with the mesmerizing landscape , nature offered us. Following are some shots i captured from car’s front seat while we were traveling. Antelope Canyon was formed by erosion of sandstone, primarily due to flash flooding .Over time the passageways eroded away, making the corridors deeper and smoothing hard edges in such a way as to form characteristic 'flowing' shapes in the rock. From Grand Canyon we drove four hours to Page city. Antelope Canyon is located on Navajo land east of Page city. Also thick sports shoes are recommended to avoid tripping .Local guide pointed me to a heart shaped formation inside the canyon. It’s always very interesting to see nature’s symmetry in unknown places.Lastly , is a photo of our group. We all were really happy to witness two of nature’s great wonders and remove them from our travel bucket list.

The need of hour is to develop and include new locations on tourist map so that people travelling to Himachal Pradesh don’t have to travel to same places time and again. Being from Sundernagar and being based out of Himachal for last 12 years, I come across new people almost every day in my life. If I tell them that I belong to Sundernagar, almost all of them connect it with the Lake and having passed through town on way to Manali. But what many of you might not know that there are quite a few places around Sundernagar which have potential to be on tourist map if proper infrastructure is developed. I would like to present through some pictures some off beat locations one can explore around main township of Sundernagar.1 Shikari Mata Temple - Janjehli Valley : Also famous as roofless temple, legend says that whenever priests tried to build a roof over the temple it won’t sustain. Also in winters when whole mountain top is covered by snow, there is no snow in temple area. 2 Maa Baglamukhi Temple One can also find serenity at Maa Baglamukhi temple nestled somewhere in forests of Janjehli valley. A different type of Himachali wooden architecture can be observed here. 3 Murari Mata Temple On a clear sunny day one can have a bird eye view of Sundernagar and surroundings from the mountain top temple of Murari Mata. The road leading to Murari Mata is a bit off roading which adds to excitement of making it to the top. The vast water reservoir better known as Sundernagar lake is fully visible. 4 Jalpa Mata Saroa Chail Chowk Even I had not visited this beautiful temple having state of art wooden carving. Although it was raining the day I recently visited so couldn’t get a clear picture, but one must surely visit this temple. One can trek 8 km to Kamrunag temple from here, to which I look forward soon. 5 Also en-route Mata Saroa temple you shall come across this newly built Monastery.

Jeroen shared these beautiful photographs from his current city Delhi.

If you are around San Francisco, or planning a trip to Bay area, Golden Gate Park is one of the main attractions. And it's highly recommended for families with kids. There is lot for kids to experience and enjoy. Golden Gate Park area is spread over 1000+ acres of land. This Photo Journey shares some of the photographs clicked by Arun & Shivani, along with more details on things to explore.

Yosemite has one of the most beautiful national parks in USA and this Photo Journey shares some stunning places in Yosemite National Park, along with relevant information about the place and tips for planning a trip to Yosmite.

This year in February, I, with many of my friends and colleagues from office, got a chance to visit San Francisco for a conference. The duration was of one week. It was a tightly packed schedule and we were determined to make the most out of it. Biking was one of the agendas that was in our minds. Few people in our group had already heard good things about it. On Sunday afternoon, we started our hunt for a good and relatively cheaper shop from where we could rent the bikes. We started our biking journey which was from Fisherman's Wharf to Sausalito. Fisherman's Wharf is a super fun place where you can roam around, eat and drink and enjoy in open air restaurants.
