The House of Gobind - A good place to have lunch in Mohali, Punjab

Recently we were in Chandigarh and visited some of our friends operating from Mohali. Puneet took us out for lunch and he chose 'The House of Gobind' in phase-5 of Mohali. This Photo Journey shares more about the place, it's food, timings, service, cleanness, cost-range and other relevant stuff.

It's a self service restaurant like Haldirams, where you chose food items to order, get a slip, hand over it on respective counter. Then wait for your number to show-up and pick up your order. Puneet ordered 3 special thalis and none of us had clue about the quantity. When we got our order we realized that 2 special thalis were more than enough for 3 of us. Food was ok. Nothing specific to mention - neither positively nor negatively. By looking at the price range of food in Chandigarh & Mohali, this place is reasonable. The place is neat and spacious. When we entered, there were very few folks sitting inside the restaurant but gradually folks started coming in. This place also sells sweets, pastries, cakes, chocolates and different kinds of sweet/salty snacks.

Hey Thanks Siddhartha !

If you ask for my personal choice, I would always prefer to explore dhabas in Chandigarh. In Mohali, I love to visit Katani, Khalsa and Bittu da Dhaba. There are many interesting options, especially for people who love non-veg :)
