During one of the mornings, Ghori Parbat, Hathi Parbat, Nandaghunti, Trishul, Mrigthuni, Maigtoli. Nanda Devi, Nanda Devi East, Nanda Khat were very clear from terrace of KMVN Binsar. Usually it's hazy to see these mountains clearly from Binsar, but rains made the day for us :). It was very clear and video would give you the real experience of seeing these mountains through moving clouds all around.

Nanda Devi (7800+ mtrs) is highest of the Garhwal Peaks, which literally means 'Blessed Goddess'. Nanda Devi peak is considered the pearl of the Himalayas because of its loveliness. Whenever conversation about Uttrkhand peaks start, Nanda Devi is an obvious name which comes to your mind. Inhabitants of the region have revered this mountain as a dwelling place of the Gods and have been worshipping it for long time now. Most of these names for mountains and passes in the area often have religious meanings. Following link has more details about many of these hills in Kumaun and Garhwal.

If you liked this post and found it helpful, I would request you to follow these things when traveling -

- Manage your waste well and don’t litter
- Use dustbins. Tell us if you went to a place and found it hard to locate a dustbin.
- Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem.
- Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits.

- Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite
