Rewind February and March 2015 || A Time to Celebrate

The "Rewind" is back after a gap of two months. Yes, this is the new name of our monthly look-back posts. Hope you like it. Let us know if you have other suggestions. We would love to hear from you.

So far, in our rewind posts, we have talked about the weather, travel, photography, technology, and other things that in the world of photographers are considered "small talk". What we haven't really talked about is, "Us", which means our readers, our followers, our guest writers, our technical and editorial teams. Basically everything that makes photo journey what it is right now. And in recent past, we have had two special occasions to celebrate "Us".

Photo Journey has been around for more than 7 years and when in February this year we were told that we have been selected as one of the "Top 10 Photography Blogs in India" by Baggout, we were surprised and overwhelmed. Here's what they say about us:

"A group of young photographers have created this blog. They have shared their vision of different thoughts, places, experiences and sights of this amazing and beautiful world. These young, enthusiastic, hardworking photographers who explore different places with a novel vision can give inspiration to you. They have clicked pictures in different perspective. If you are also interested in going through their photo journey, please visit this blog."

Close on its heels came another accolade, and this time from Tad-too-new. They included us in their list of "India’s 7 Most Influential Photo Bloggers Who Inspire You To Go Click-Happy". This is what the have to say about us:

"This blog is not run by an individual, it’s a group of young photographers going click happy with a vision of their own. They post their travelling pictures ranging from Culture, Wildlife and Scenery. I will fall short of words if I sit down to describe their pictures. Its absolutely mind blowing. You need to have a look yourself to believe it."

Needless to say we are happy. Needless to say we are grateful, to everyone who is a part of "Us". Thanks everyone for your constant support. It is because of you that Photo Journey is being recognized as a community. We hope to involve more and more photographers in this group. So if you feel a photographer would be a good fit into our community, do put him or her in touch with us at vj@travellingcamera.com, and we will be happy to publish their photographs and write-ups.

To celebrate the community we have introduced a new section called "In the spotlight" in which we will publish interviews of our guest writers and photographers that follow us. The first post in this series was published last month, and we put the photographer Amit Aggarwal, a regular contributor to photo journey, in the spotlight this month. Click here to read about him.

Besides all this, photo journey kept up its regular activities. Following is a recap:
