Photo Journey from God's own country || Kerala Travelogue-series by Tanya Chaudhary (Part 3 - Thekkady)

After some great moments at Kochi and Munnar, the next day I headed to Thekkady which is in the Idukki district of Kerala.

Whilst my way, the view of Munnar was spectacularly spectacular. Tea plantations everywhere and mist & fog playing hide and seek. Thekkady is a four hours drive from Munnar.

As soon as I reached my hotel, I felt like home. Silver Crest, the hotel in which I was staying was such a Kerala-ish hotel with an amazing pool. I splashed into the pool and floated and acted like a mermaid to my mind.

Late afternoon, I went for an elephant ride at Anavachal Road. Elephants are the most humble animal ever, once; I smiled at him and saw him smiling back at me. I fed him bananas and he kissed me on my forehead.

I roamed around the market nearby and bought some authentic Keral spices. Late at night, I saw an amazing Kathakali show organized at our hotel. What culture only India has!

Next destination after Kochi, munnar & Thekkadi is Kumarakom, so  keep a watch about some exciting experiences from Kumarakom, Kerala in our next Travelogue from this series.
