When we were coming back from Aguada Fort, as noticed a beach on our right with lot of coconut trees around it and an array of boats parked on one of the corners. Then we made a plan to visit this visit and have a closer look. It looked like a typical beach we usually see in photographs or television :) . When we drove to this beach, it was a great experience. Only we were there on that beach with all fishermen who stay around this beach. The very first photograph of this photo journey was shot when we were driving towards this beach through lush green paddy fields.Similarly when we went to Old Goa and spent some time around the churches and Magesh temple, we explored some beautiful roads which were not on our way to these places. All these drives exposed us to vegetable farms in countryside and the places where colorful flowers are used to make local wines in Goa. Even smaller waterfalls look awesome during these random drives. Most of the times, when we are in Goa we spend most of the time on beaches, casinos and comparatively lesser driving time. Although, if time allows one should spend more time driving around various parts of Goa as it has lot of things to explore. did you go there during monsoon? I have heard that it rains heavily and most of the outdoor activities are not possible..
Yes Aman !

We went their during August and it was pleasant. It was drizzling but frequency was ok. In fact, we found monsoon as a good time to visit goa - Cheap, Green & less crowded.

VJ Sharma, thank you so much for posting this blog. It has given me EXACT information i wanted! I am planning to go to Goa and want to drive around and was not confident if i could do that. But after readying you post i feel much better! Although I have not driven in India for nearly 4 decades, I want to wet my feet ( so to speak) and start to drive there. One question though: how did you find hotels to stay when you were tired or wanted to rest before starting your next leg of the journey? Thank you again.

Thank you for the article - very helpful. How would you rate the road safety for car users overall - through the eyes of smb who never drove in India? We are from Europe, but have lived in the Middle East, where the driving can be hectic. Thank you, Katya
