TATA PHOTON is not for Travellers in INDIA

I never had broadband at home as I keep moving from one place to another, even within same city. Being a frequent traveler, I opted for internet device/service which can help me every time. I am using Tata Photon for last two years, so I would not say that it's bad. At least in main cities it works very well if I exclude the earlier days when they had much higher load to handle. If everything is fine, then why title says - 'TATA PHOTON is not for Travellers in INDIA'.Somehow coverage areas are reduced by Tata in last 6 months or so. My parents live in Mandi region of Himachal Pradesh and I visit them once in two months. TATA PHOTON was working fine there, but for last three visits it never worked. Internet connectivity is so important these days that either I moved back to Chandigarh/Delhi or tried other option. Unfortunately BSNL in Himachal is anyway not a good option to have. This time, I used Aritel 3G by making my cell-phone as hotspot for laptop. It was not that good but at least workable.
Now I am thinking of moving only to Airtel 3G, but would need to know more about it.

Came across this post today and wondering how right I was. 4G has taken away these dongles in 2016. Post was written in 2012 when expectations from internet connectivity were increasing and technologies were evolving.
