Some casual clicks from Vishal's marriage in UNA, Himachal Pradesh, INDIA

Wedding Photography is something that I have never done in past and this time I clicked few photographs at one of my friends marriage. It was a new experience and found it interesting as well. Let's check out this Photo Journey and know about this experience...

Many times in past, I am suggested by my well-wishers to do Wedding Photography as this is one of the most paying photography genre with lot of opportunities in Asia. But it never looked interesting to me, although this experience has changed me a bit. Most of the photographs shared here are clicked of-stage and hardly spent 10 minutes to hold camera during this wedding. But this whole experience was interesting as Photographers get wonderful setup in Indian Weddings and most of the times, there is lot of scope of experimenting with things & make people happy with sort of unique photographs for them.

These days, 'Fine Art Wedding Photography' has become very fashionable. Now families get tow Photography teams to shoot weddings at their home. One team will do the traditional photography and the other team of photographers take care of some special moments with more creativity. They are free to explore the place, event, arrangements, people, emotions and what not. Various Fine Art Wedding Photographers can be found in India now. In fact, every month new names are coming in this industry and surprising the world with their unique ideas and wonderful results.

Above photograph is shot from a long distance during Milani ceremony. This is a ceremony where people from both parties meet each others. Priests of both sides introduce one person at a time and respective counterparts hug each other during the end. E.g. - One Priest will introduce Bride's Dad and then other does the same for Groom's Dad. Then both of the fathers exchange some gifts and hug each other.

With huge demand of Fine Art Wedding Photographers in Asia, this is becoming one of the most lucrative genres for folks who want to pursue Photography as Profession.

The wedding photography industry is home to some respected names within the photography industry. As a wedding is a one-time event, the photographer must be prepared for the unexpected always. Shooting a wedding is both exhausting and invigorating as the photographer is constantly looking for good angles and opportunities for candid shots.

With every Wedding Season, some particular photography trends come and of-course as a Photographer you have to adapt to the needs to your clients. Although these days, many photographers succeed in convincing clients for their own styles. Some of the typical styles can be checked on URLs like - http://www.veilandtrain.com/photography/10-wedding-photography-trends/

In most of the wedding, Photographers can be seen with 17-35mm/2.8, 50mm 1.4mm, 24-70mm/2.8... In some of the Indian Marriage, folks use 70-200mm/2.8 which is one of my favorite Lens in general. Some specific photographers who are very much interested in minute details, can be seen carrying 100mm lenses.

Communication and planning time-lines before the event will alleviate many of the stresses associated with photographing a wedding. The ability to tactfully take charge also helps - particularly when photographing large groups or families - a common expectation after the ceremony. Having a run list with all of the expected shots is also a useful tool. A photographer may work with an assistant who can carry equipment, arrange guests and assist with clothing adjustments or holding of reflectors, if needed.

Different types are Shoots are offered by Fine Art Wedding Photographers these days. Some of the clients only want couple shots while they are in relaxed mode and away form hustle bustle of the marriage venue. Another form of such shoots is Pre-Wedding and Post-Wedding Photo shoots. Idea is to capture the mode and of-course dressing for all these three shoots is one of the most important aspect.

A large part of a candid photographer’s job is to bring out an inherent ability to capture a fleeting moment or a momentary stillness – and freeze it in time.

Continuous Innovation and exceptional execution of new ideas are very important in modern form of Fine Art Wedding Photography.
