Palampur, a dream place to live... Really, I have been to Palampur many times and more I visit this place, more I fell in love with this place... Town with wonderful views of snow covered Dhauladhar Mountains, Naturally rich has most of the modern facilities available...

Really, I have been to Palampur many times and more I visit this place, more I fell in love with this place... Town with wonderful views of snow covered Dhauladhar Mountains, Naturally rich has most of the modern facilities available...Here is a view from Tea Gardens near Neugal Cafe...Just entered into Palampur Town: From this Photograph you can make an idea that mountains around Palapur are clearly visible from most of the areas in this town... Weather in this town is amazing... Its not as crowded as Shimla and is comparatively rich in terms of basic facilities like Water, Light etc..A Photograph shot from moving car in the middle of Palampur Market... You can also see snow covered hills from here also ;-) .. Palampur Market is lovely place to spend your evenings..Most of the telecommunication service providers are there in Palampur and its not only the case for telecom services, but other types are services are also available with broad range of varieties. Palampur is very well connected through Bus, Train and there is also an Airport in Kangra....More clear view of Dhauladar Mountains from Neugal Khad....Palampur was a part of the local Sikh Kingdom before it came under the British raj. It was one of the leading hill states and was once a part of the Jalandhar kingdom. There are countless water streams, tea gardens and rice paddies. The town of Palampur came into being when Dr. Jameson who was Superintendent of Botanical Gardens and introduced the tea bush from Almora in 1850. The bush thrived and so did the town which became a focus of the European tea estate owners. Since then the Kangra tea of Palampur has been known internationally.
