The river Ramganga flows to south west from Kumaun Himalaya. It is a tributary of the river Ganga, originates from the high altitude zone of 800m-900m. Ramganga flows by the Corbett National Park near Ramnagar of Nainital district from where it descends upon the plains. Bareilly city of Uttar Pradesh is situated on its banks. There is a dam across this river at Kalagarh for irrigation and hydroelectric generation.boulders strewn across the rive bed. These can be seen in almost any river as it reaches the plains.Ink blue... The river is mostly shallow with deep areas here and there. It can be treacherous.Some of these mountain rivers have slogged over thousands of centuries to carve their ways through the mountains. Erosion is an example of slow and steady wins the race...All around the ram ganga resort, the landscape is hilly with some excellent trekking trails.
