What piece of advice do you wish to give to aspiring/budding photographers, fans, and readers of the post? I think I would suggest that it is very important to be a nice human being in the first place and not to get too selfish in the process of trying to get a shot. It is always better not to fake images.

If you liked this post and found it helpful, I would request you to follow these things when traveling -

- Manage your waste well and don’t litter
- Use dustbins. Tell us if you went to a place and found it hard to locate a dustbin.
- Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem.
- Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits.

- Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite

Great to read, Joshi Daniel one of my favorite photographer. Thanks for the post.
Yes, Joshi is a wonderful photographer.

Joshi is going places, literally and figuratively. His portraits of elder men and women, frequently wrinkled and leatherly, using a characteristic grey-tone medium, will probably endure just because they are uncommonly unique. His youthfulness does not get in his way. He let's his photography speak for themselves; speaks a lot for his comfort and confidence in his work. Too, he loves to experiment; this keeps us fans hanging by a thread to see where his artfulness takes him. He is out-and-about, judging from the corners of India he reaches, but I do not doubt he'd accept any assignment he's allowed to tackle on his own terms.

Kudos for your photography are well deserved, Joshi, and you are welcome. Though you are probably ten years younger than our youngest daughter, it'd be great to meet up with you, either in Kerala or the US. You are welcome to stay with my wife Estelle and myself (two hours to Montreal, four to Boston, six to NY by car). Plan to be in touch with each other.

Best wishes to Abhijit and to you for the New Year!

Kind regards, Mike Gannett, Burlington, Vermont, gannettm@aol.com
