It's one of the must visit places in Bhubaneshwar, especially when kids are accompanying you. It's very different from Zoo you see in cities by Delhi. It's a zoo and botanical park. Some part of it is also declared as sanctuary. We took a guide along and he was very good. It was fun to learn from him about various birds hiding behind the leaves, their characteristics and tricks to locate some of the beautiful birds. We loved the fact that birds had huge space to fly around and their cages were not small. There are huge areas covered with iron nets and these compounds have good vegetation. Monsoons made our visit more adventurous :) and thanks to our guide for arranging umbrellas on rent. Colors were popping up due to rains. If you liked this post and found it helpful, I would request you to follow these things when traveling -

- Manage your waste well and don’t litter
- Use dustbins. Tell us if you went to a place and found it hard to locate a dustbin.
- Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem.
- Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits.

- Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite
