Recently I was part of NDTV's famous show CellGURU, where I had to share my inputs about Honor 5X, which is launched few weeks back in India. This post shares about the same experience and how I feel about the camera of this phone by Huawei.
All photographs shared in this post are clicked with the same camera and for detailed reviews, you may want to check the videos in the bottom of this post. I am yet to watch the show on TV :). Thanks for friends who recorded these for me. btw, above photograph has already been selected as cover of a Literary Journal. I would share the link on our facebook page, when journal is live.
It was an early morning shoot at NDTV office and done by two brilliant folks - Cyrus, co-producer of CellGURU and Dave Konvar on camera. Both of them are awesome, as we didn't spend much time to shoot. They had great shooting strategy in mind and there were hardly any retakes. Above photographs shows the cafeteria of NDTV office, which is full of colors.
My family is big fan of Honor phones and their cameras. My Sister uses Honor 6 Plus, which comes with dual cameras and create brilliant bokeh effect. Bokeh is faked by most of the phone cameras but this model could do it because of dual lenses.
During this discussion, I was asked another question which is not part of final show. The question was 'How do we compare this camera with DSLR and how would you use it?' and probably they didn't like my answer and hence cut it from the final show :) . My answer was more about not comparing a phone camera with DSLR as both are different technologies and solve different use-cases. In fact the target user-base is quite different. And as far as my usage of this camera goes, I would be using it for Travel, Street and Abstracts.
