Diwali 2014 celebrations with my niece Urvi at my native place in Himachal Pradesh (India)

This Diwali was very special for me and I have been eagerly waiting to reach my hometown in Mandi region of Himachal (India). As Urvi was also planning to join us this Diwali and after a long time, whole family was going to celebrate the most awaited Indian Festival. I had 4 days off from office and my hometown forcibly keeps me away from internet :). So it was time to spend most of the time with family and our little angel Urvi. This Photo Journey shares some of the moments spent with Urvi during these days.

It very difficult to make her pose for photographs :) .

She loves travelling and enjoys bus ride, where she can see lot of other people as well :). As we start discussing about any travelling plan, she starts putting relevant stuff into travel bags in the house. When done, she goes to her mom or nani, to pack stuff for eating and drinking on the way. In above photograph, she has put her toys in my bag and waiting for taxi to arrive...

Urvi asking everyone to get ready, while sitting on stairs in wait for taxi. Her expressions say it all..

This Diwali, she got a tent. She was not very enthusiastic when we installed this tent first time. When we put more stuff inside, she started showing interest and there were turns for others to enter. In above photograph, she is calling her nana to come inside the tent and play with her.

Saying no to her mom, because it's nana's turn :).

During diwali cleaning she helped us with few things, but her favorite activity was to clean the already cleaned floor with mop :). She tried hard to press spray button, but it was difficult for her to handle. So she used to call one of us to spray the water and then move. Above photograph was clicked when she was asking me to come and spray some water.

This Diwali, we changes some stuff in kitchen and in above photograph, Urvi is setting up the new gas-burner.

When in doubt, she mostly goes to her nana for a resolution. Nana is her best friend :). Usually she adds 'Ji', whenever calling someone in family. Only exceptions are - 'Nana', 'Nani' & 'Mami'. We are still to figure out why? :)

We had lot of fun during Diwali this time and waiting for January, when she will be visiting us in Delhi again.
