'FAITHfully Yours', a Photography Exhibition is inaugurated on 8th March at Arpana Caur Gallery near Siri Fort Auditorium. Inauguration was at 7pm and event lasted for 3-4 hours. Seven Artists Ambik Sethi, Augustus Mithal, Rajesh Ramakrishnan, Raajan Sharma, Shilpi Choudhuri, Shivani Punia and VJ Sharma are showcasing their work during next 10 days. Show will be on till17th March 2013.Show was inaugurated by the famous Fashion Designer Rina Dhaka, Award Winner Journalist Sonal Kalra, the famous Indian Contemporary Artist Jaishree Barman and few other ladies. Since it was a women's day, all ladies were there as chief guests. It was great to have Paresh Maity at inauguration. Mr. Paresh Maity has had more than 50 shows in thirty years. He gradually moved from atmospheric scenery to representations of the human form. His more recent paintings are bold and graphic, with a strong color and unusual cropping. His works are in a number of collections, including the British Museum, and the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi. In early years he did many watercolors of different locations.Paresh painted for newly built Terminal 3 at Delhi Airport. He has created the biggest painting of his life and probably the longest in India. It stretches up to over 850 feet and is surely one of the most monumental paintings in the world. In August 2011, his 55th solo show with water colour paintings based on the last 15 poems of poet Rabindranath Tagore, Shesh Lekha (The Last Writings, 1941), opened at the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi. Many philosophers have come to various conclusions, but the questions resurface without fail. These questions will continue to haunt us till we find the answers we are ready to accept. This photographic journey is an attempt to confront some of these questions and to reflect upon the world of the faithful, as we know itShilpi talking about her work and sharing with Rina Dhaka. 'FAITHfully Yours', a Photography Exhibition is inaugurated on 8th March at Arpana Caur Gallery near Siri Fort Auditorium. Inauguration was at 7pm and event lasted for 3-4 hours. Seven Artists Ambik Sethi, Augustus Mithal, Rajesh Ramakrishnan, Raajan Sharma, Shilpi Choudhuri, Shivani Punia and VJ Sharma are showcasing their work during next 10 days. Show will be on till17th March 2013.Show was inaugurated by the famous Fashion Designer Rina Dhaka, Award Winner Journalist Sonal Kalra, the famous Indian Contemporary Artist Jaishree Barman and few other ladies.
