An ancient temple of Mata Nawahi Devi in Mandi region(Sarkaghat) of Himachal Pradesh

Recently I was at my hometown in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and got to visit this wonderful place called Nawahi Devi with some ancient temples. This place has least visibility on web and feeling great to post about this wonderful hill station with ancient temples. Let's check out this Photo Journey to know more about this place and what more to expect...Here is a view of Shiva Temple around one of the corners in campus of Mata Nawahi Devi Temple. This portion of Nawahi Devi Temple looked most interesting to me and spend most of the time around the same. Nawahi Devi Temple has huge space and different temples dedicated to various gods including Luxmi-Narayan and Shiva.Just outside the main temple area, there is a huge water pond which was dry in the month of November. There is a beautiful temple in the middle of this water temple which is accessible through a bridge connected to main road. Imagine the time of year when this pond is full of water and we walk over the bridge to have a glimpse inside this colorful temple. Town having this temple is known as 'Nawahi Devi' and is quite lively place as compared to other towns around it. Nawahi Devi has various shops with pooja stuff, a governement schools and relevant shops with kids' stuff. There is a banyan tree in the campus of Nawahi Devi Temple. Married couples come to this place just after the marriage and then at the later stage to put wedding-bangles (chooda) and Sehra around it's branches. Here is a photographs of Nawahi Mata Statue placed inside the main temple with huge structure around it. Main temple of Nawahi devi is just in front of main gate and there is hardly any walk from road to the gate. It's just next to the main road with connects Sarkaghat with Jahu, which is part of Hamirpur District. Various people from distant places come to Nawahi Devi. Here is a photograph of top part of main temple in the campus of Nawahi Devi Temple
