Teachers are a significant part of everyone's life and they play an important role at each stage of life. Teachers show us the right path and groom us to become a better citizen and a better person. Teacher's day is coming in few days and we thought of reminding our viewers about this special day and do something better this year. Let's check out this Photo Journey and discuss some of the ideas to celebrate 5th September 2012...Very first photograph shows one of my favorite school teachers. Sh. C. L. Sharma who taught us in GSSS Bhoranj of Himachal Pradesh. He is the one, who is respected the most among our classmates !!!Teacher's Day in India is celebrated on 5th September every year, which is celebrated on Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's Birthday. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was an Indian philosopher and statesman who was the second President of India from 1962 to 1967. He was the first Vice President of India - from 1952 to 1962..One of India's most influential scholars of comparative religion and philosophy, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is thought of as having built a bridge between the East and the West by showing that the philosophical systems of each tradition are comprehensible within the terms of the other. He wrote authoritative exegeses of India's religious and philosophical literature for the English speaking world. His academic appointments included the King George V Chair of Mental and Moral Science at the University of Calcutta (1921–1931) and Spalding Professor of Eastern Religion and Ethics at Oxford University (1936–1952).Check out more about Dr. Radhakrishnan at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarvepalli_RadhakrishnanTeachers teach us to face the most difficult challenges of life and get through them. Teacher's Day is celebrated to pay tribute to teachers, who have dedicated a considerable part of their life to impart moral and academic knowledge to their students. There are a number of ways to celebrate Teacher's Day, apart from the standard ways of celebrating it in schools. I still remember school days when our seniors used to teach us various subjects and after few years time came when we went to school by leaving school-dresses at home.Taking your teacher for a movie can be a good idea, provided you know him/her well. Especially this suites more to college going folks. Choose the genre of the movie, depending upon the age of your teacher and his/her interest. Movies these can be embarrassing so you can take your parent's opinion in choosing the same. Be considerate to inquire about his/her favorite actors and director, so that you land in the perfect choice. It can be a great idea to get this kind of information from other channels to surprise your teachers. If you are in school or college, you may want to organize functions for entertainment of your teachers and make them relax for the special day. You may plan some plays based on Teacher's Day, some song or dance performances. Make sure that you organize the programs with the help of your school/college friends, but do not approach your teachers for the same. Try to keep this event respectable and something that become memorable for rest of the life. These are some moments that make your student life special and something to look back... You may also think of inviting your teacher for a formal lunch/dinner at home and if possible also invite some of your class friends. Presence of your classmates can make this gathering more meaningful and more enjoyable. If you are good at culinary art, then prepare a scrumptious meal for your teacher and it can a good idea to learn something special for your teacher. S/he would be more than happy to know about your new learning on this special occasion. Ensure that you include the favorite dishes of your teacher, although this may not be that important. In case you are too close to your teacher, you may make it a bit informal event as well. These days greeting cards are in fashion and you may also like to present Greeting-card with flowers to your teacher. You along with your friends can buy a BIG greeting card to write your sweet messages for your teacher. A good greeting card with wonderful message and flowers can be an economical gift to present along with your friends. Make sure that your messages make your teacher proud about his/her students...Planning a surprise picnic at a nearby park/place can also be a good idea for celebrating Teacher's Day with your teachers. Be sure to take all the picnic essentials, including snacks basket, tissues, beverages, umbrella, things to play etc. To make it more interesting, you can invite your classmates who can contribute for better snacks and more fun.So Happy Teacher's Day in advance make sure to make it very special for your Teachers !
