Moreton in Marsh, First stop in Cotswolds

After a day in Warwick, we were looking forward to our trip to the beautiful Cotswolds. Cotswolds is an area of natural beauty and is often referred to as the "Heart of England". Parts of the counties Oxforshire and Gloucestershire form Cotswolds. The terrain is mostly hilly with the highest point being the Cleeve Hill.

Our first stop in Cotswolds was in Moreton in Marsh and lasted only for 45 minutes. Almost all buildings in the Cotswolds are yellow and this uniformity leaves a lasting impression on the mind. Even now I can clearly recall yellow buildings dotting the lush green pastures.
Spring and Summer ensure that England gets more than its fair share of flowers. And seasonal flowers are used for decorating the exteriors. Look at the vibrant flowers in this picture for example.
This building is the Redesdale Market Hall which is the sight of the busy Tuesday market. Most of these buildings date back to the eighteenth century.
Just found this too cute to not click. Tea rooms are a part of English lifestyle now but this practice was adopted from the Chinese culture initially as per my knowledge. It is common to eat scones, teacakes and bagels with Tea here.
A "yellow" street in Moreton in Marsh. Yellow is my least favorite colour but after a visit to Cotswolds, I accept that Yellow as well is capable of exquisite beauty.

The Cotswolds is really very very beautiful. I still remember very vividly my trip to this region. Thanks for bringing it all back. :-)
Great PHOTO JOURNEY !!!

In last photograph, cars are parked in Indian style. Is this usual in UK or this region is more crowded ?
