Wonderful Architecture of Indian President's House @ Delhi : During beginning of 2011, one of my friend was in Delhi and wanted to go to some places with good architecture. From his busy schedule, he found one full day and an extra evening :)A collage of various photographs clicked at President's House...During first day, we went to Humayun's Tomb, Old Fort and then Canought Place... The other evening we planned to visit India Gate and President's House !!! Here are some of the photographs clicked by my camera and will try to show some of the sketches, he created during this visit...Although I had visited President House many times, but this day was somehow very different and I enjoyed shooting various subjects apart from Architecture. Above Photograph is clicked near North Block of President's House. There are multiple pillars like this in Rashtraparti Bhavan !!! The ship on top of pillar seemed a part of original Architecture, but some of the pillars got Ashok Chinha on the top, which must be modified version, but not very sure of that.Peeping Lens inside North Block of President's House !!! Make sure that your eyes or cameras are not directed towards wrong directions because that can be very costly, as security is important and folks appointed there are very cautious about each action !!! And as a good citizen, we should respect that !!!President's House has various domed architecture on the top... South Block and North Block, along with main house got various sized domes and look amazing... This photograph is showing the half portion of middle dome of South Block and a neighboring dme in small size comparatively..I don't know if this crow is ruining the cleanness of this marvelous region or adding more shades to these red stoned architecture pieces.... Overall campus of President's House is very clean and well equipped with security folks around it....Even vehicles around it moves in a disciplined manner...Tried a Black and White with Camera :) I hardly shoot in Black $ White, but somehow here I thought of trying it and don't know if it was intentional or not.. as I don't remember the reason... but after downloading I liked it and thought of sharing it in this PHOTO JOURNEY....Tried a Black and White with Camera :) I hardly shoot in Black $ White, but somehow here I thought of trying it and don't know if it was intentional or not.. as I don't remember the reason... but after downloading I liked it and thought of sharing it in this PHOTO JOURNEY....Here is the dome I was talking about... Here is a photograph of complete view of South Block of President's House !!!Note Ashok Satambha on op of these domes... Although I am not very sure, but these must be installed after Britishers left India... And it's highly unlikely that Lutyen's would have installed these in Britisher's era... Ohh, did I miss that President's house was designed my Great Britisher Architect, Edwin Lutyen, who designed it as Viceroy's House.... The dome is exactly in the middle of the diagonals between the four corners of the building...A View of North and South Blocks of President's House, when viewed from main entry gate of President's residence.... Edwin Lutyen is referred to as "the greatest British architect" and is known best for having an instrumental role in designing and building a section of the metropolis of Delhi, known as New Delhi, which would later on serve as the seat of the Government of India. In recognition of his contribution, New Delhi is also known as "Lutyens' Delhi". In collaboration with Herbert Baker, Edwin Lutyen was also the main architect of several monuments in New Delhi such as the India Gate... he also designed the Viceroy's House now known as the Rashtrapati Bhavan.. btw there were two Vicerpy's houses in India.. One for summers in Shimla as well, which is converted into Indian Institute of Advanced Studies later on....

There is  a beautiful area called Mughal Gardens situated at the back of the Rashtrapati Bhavan which incorporates both Mughal and English landscaping styles... It displays numerous types of flowers and is open to public in February every year !!!
