Feel Freshness of Hilly state of INDIA on PHOTO JOURNEY : Himachal Pradesh (Today, 15th April is celebrated as Himachal Day) : A place closer to my heart and a state which is most popular on PHOTO JOURNEY is Himachal Pradesh... Today I thought of devoting a post on Himachal Pradesh... Here I have randomly picked some of the photographs of Himachal Pradesh which have been posted on PHOTO JOURNEY during last three years... Lets have a look at these Photographs and recall the photo journeys we had in past..Hilly State of India, Himachal Pradesh, is so beautiful that one can spend whole life in clicking various things there... I remember when we visited Shrikhand Mahadev and we spent 5 days on the trek.. After reaching Shimla, we felt that time we gave on this trek was very important and we should have stayed more... I think above Photograph is also from the same trek to Shrikhand Mahadev...Fog, Clouds, Rains, cool breeze and other things that makes the environment refreshing are available in Himachal Pradesh...nthere are plenty of other things in this lovely state which may compell you to think that why can't I spend my whole life here... Places like Palampur, Dalhousie, Kasauli always seem like final destinations to have a lovely home !!I have spent lot of time in Shimla and after exploring the real beauty of this town, I never found an equally rich place in other part of the country... Rich in terms Nature, Architecture, Beauty etc... I have heard many people saying that urbanization of Shimla is killing its beauty and I don't agree with this... Urbanization is also important, but Himachal Government has been able to maintain the beauty and cleanness of the city... There are wonderful nature walks in Shimla and the experience of these walks is unmatchable... Over the time living standards of people living in Shimla have risen... Personally I love to walk till University from Mall road through Accounting Office, Vidhan Sabha, Chaura Maidaan, Advanced Studies...Here is a Photograph of Foggy day in Solan.. Solan isadistrict headquarter which is a valley on the way from Shimla to Chandigarh.. This Photograph was clicked from Himalayan Express Toy Train on Kalka-Shimla Route... It's a wonderful ride through forests, bridges, tunnels, rivers, hills and Valleys... There are two Toy Train Routes in Himachal.. One is from Kalka to Shimla and other one is from Pathankot to Jogindernagar...Most of the folks who look at this photograph describe it as a sceme from aeroplane but its not so... This is a photograph clicked from a very high hills in Shrikhand Mountain Ranges in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh.... Its very easy to find out such places where clouds ome out of a huge bowl surrounded by mountains... Especially at places with some water body in terms of Lake or river... One more place comes into my mind if Bilaspur which is near to Govind Sagar Dam ... This place is very cold and the dense fog on top pf the lak looks like cloud store...There are lots of treks in Himachal for Adventure lovers... Although many of themareexplored by lot of folks from India and abroad, but there are still lot many places which are untouched and least explored by real nature lovers...Himachal Pradesh has very good roads connecting various parts of the state... Here is one of the photograph on road connecting Palampur with Baijnath.... A Wonderful ride and lovely place to spend one day...Whether in Himachal is wonderful excluding few districts like Una and Hamirpur.. These two districts are dry and more hot as compared to other regions of Himachal Pradesh !!! Dharmshala come after Cherapoonji if we talk about Indian places which gets rains most of the times during the year ! Of course, global warming has started impacted beautiful hill stations of Himachal Pradesh... 10 years back Himachal used to get heavy rains during Monsoons and all the schools used to be closed for 2 moonths during July and August.. and now time has changed and instead of monsoons, not schools are closed during summers...There are lot of rivers in Himachal and people in bg cities like Delhi can't imagine that people in Himachal don't get even 2 buckets of water during summers !!! Its very challenging to plan water delivery to widely spread villages across various hills in Himachal and above all, politicians have lot many other priorities in Life! But thanks to all these natural resources which helps in such critical situations...Wonderful view of Kangra Valley from World's popular para-gliding site in Bir Billing !!!Wonderful roads of Himachal makes convenient for tourists to drive on hills with unmatchable beauty in surroundings !!!Apart from main Railway line to Una, Himachal was two narrow gauge train lines to Shimla and Jogindernagar !! Which helps covering upper and lower himachal ! Tourists love to travel in Toy-Trains which run on these routes from Kalka to Shimla and Pathankot to Jogindernagar !!!Here is a photograph of Mini Switzerland of India called Khajjiar !! Its in Chamba District if Himachal Pradesh and one of the lovely place to explore... Other interesting paces around Khajjiar are Dalhousie, Chamb and Barmour !!!Himachal Pradesh was anciently known as Dev Bhumi (The Abode of Gods) . After the Anglo Gorkha War, the British colonial government came into power. It was initially part of Punjab, except the Siba State of Punjab Hills which was under the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh until 1857. In 1950 Himachal was declared as a union territory but after the State of Himachal Pradesh Act 1971, Himachal emered as the 18th state of the Indian Union. There are lots of treks in Himachal for Adventure lovers... Although many of them are explored by lot of folks from India and abroad, but there are still lot many places which are untouched and least explored by real nature lovers...
