More adventurous enthusiasts can take a hike to Dal Lake located amidst the hills and deodar trees up to the nearby Tibetan children’s village or a little further ahead to the Kareri Lake surrounded by oak and pine trees and green meadows. Those with literary interests may walk into the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, the Namgyal Monastory, the famous Norbulingka Institute or the Kangra Art museum to feast their eyes.   If you have a day for leisure hang around the Jogibara Road, it offers a variety of eating joints, shopping places and budget hotels, as Dharamshala has something for everyone. i have been to mcleodganj and loved my stay there..did not visit dharmasala though(only passed it by)...we are planning to visit mcleodgang again..maybe we will include dharmasala in our itinery too!!!

Shooting-Star - Dharmshala is actually a main town with all administrative offices and Mcleodganj is a quite different colony which attracts tourists the most. Now Dharmshala has got a Cricket Stadium, which is a must see place.

Puru- Happy that you liked the photographs and Church is on the way from Dharmshala to Mcleodganj. Beauty around the church depends upon the season and at times, it can be boring to be around the closed church.
