This area is developed few years ago and youngsters like to roam around this place.. although I was not very fascinated about Saurabh Van Vihar but we thought of driving till the beautiful Bridge near this.. I guess its near to bus-stop of Uaarana !!! Here is a board near Uaarana Bridge which is directing towards Saurabh Van Vihar.... I guess one needs oto park the car near this bridge and walk down.. Although we didn't go inside the Van Vihar but spent some time around this beautiful bridge over Neugal Khadd !!!Here is beautiful road which connects palampur town with Saurabh Van Vihar.. In fact this road goes to HPTDC Neugal Cafe if we take left turn after 500 meters... This Photograph shows tea gardens at Chaupati in Palampur.... Road from Pragati Maidaan in Palampur takes towards Chaupati and one needs to take road going upwards.. After 50-600 meters, we need to take right towards Saurabh Van Vihar and it should be 2-3 Kilometers rom that cut... After this right cut, we get to see wonderful Dhauladhar Mountain Ranges covered with snow... Chaupati area is most beautiful area in Palampur (Its my personal opinion ***)The road which leads towards neugal Cafe is surrounded by beautiful tea Gardens and colorful tree but these days scene was different which looked charming to me :) ... Although this area would be more beautiful after June month of the year... This road is always very well maintained as many VIP folks live in this region of the town and many tourists passes through it !!!Here is very first view of Dhauladhar we see after taking right turn from Chaupati road... The bridge you see in this photograph is the place we wanted to go... and it takes only 10 minutes from the point photograph is clicked...A Photograph showing couple and a girl moving towards Saurabh Van Vihar !!! This photograph is clicked from the bridge you see in above Photograph !!! Actually there are two bridges here.. One is the normal one constructed of concreteand which is currently in use.. and other one is made up of iron and not in use these days... Although few scooters crossed over it while we spent 10 minutes there....Neugal Khad is located around 4-5 kms from the main town and serves as an ideal picnic spot for families around Palampur & Tourists from places like delhi/Chandigarh... Also called as Bundla Chasm, which is a place having 300 mt wide stream where tourists can enjoy picnicking. The spot also offers scenic views of the Dhauladhal ranges. The place receives rainfall throughout the year but the beauty increases bounty times during the monsoons. A fine restaurant of the Himachal Tourism Board, department is perfect for enjoying some tea and snack with wonderful view to snow covered hills !!!Here is the beautiful Iron bridge over Neugal Khad and its on the way to Saurabh Van Vihar !!! I also wanted to go inside this Van Vihar to experience the enviornment inside, but my friend who belongs to Palampur didn't recommend.. but that doesn't mean that t's not worth to go to this place !! Overall it was a windy place and good to spend some time ... After reaching the bridge, I was missing a beer can with some chatar-patar :)My Guru-Ji !!! Mr. Nitin Sood .. I don't have words to explain him !!!This is something very different of this trip.. my photograph from Palampur trip !! A Quick ride till Saurabh Van Vihar near Neugal Khadd in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, INDIA : Posted by VJ SHARMA on www.travellingcamera.com :Palampur being in my favorites list, I planned for it again when I was in Dharmshala for Cricket Finals of Jaypee T20 Mahasangram... Holi fair was going on in Pragati Madaan and weather was amazing as compared to hot Delhi... During the evening we thought of having a ride till Saurabh Van Vihar near Neugal Khadd... Here are Few Photographs from this ride of 3-4 Kilometers from Palampur Town... Check Out !!!Saurabh Van Vihar is named after Captain Saurabh Kalia, a Kargil Shahid !!!
