Next Journey of MTN Himachal 2010 on its 7th Day - Shavadh to Narkanada - PART 2 : Posted by VJ SHARMA on www.travellingcamera.com : Yet another morning of MTB Himachal with mixed feelings of high energy for the day and most of the riders were sad about the fact that MTB is going to complete in next two days... 7th day of MTB started from chavad and final destination was Narkanda.. and the route was :Chavad - Nagaan - Nimala - Baihna - Chhavati - Loohari - Neerath - Kiriti - Chimla - Nog - Kumarsen - Badogi - Daibu - Jogsha - Madhavani - Doja --- NarkanadaDay started with a normal stretch through beutiful hills on river side.... Road turns were very sharp and it was a bit dangerous because this particular road had good traffic of cars, buses and trucks... But Marshals of MTB made sure that traffic doesn't impact the riders or slow down their speed... They used to spread over the stretch of 5 kilometers to ensure that risky turns/places have no traffic.. sometimes they used to stop the vehicles and ask them to stop for few minutes... Most of the drivers in hills were very co-operative and that way MTB riders kept going without much hindrance..A local lady going towards fields to feed these goals and take care of their crops... Many folks in hills prefer to have sheeps as pets and many of them have some small scale industries for warm cloths... I know the word SSI looks lucrative but they don't earn much ot of it.. Its a normal earning which helps them to keep going in life...It was a beautiful site but my Camera was not ready to click good shots here and riders don't wait ... I think there were three groups of riders in MTB Himachal 2010... I may be missing something but they had a junior group and a master group... they had a different category for girls... So everyone was comparing himself/herself within tat particular group... In Masters group a foreigner from Pondicheri won I guess and he was quite comfortable with Telgu... There is one more contender from Maharashtra who was also part of MTB Himachal 2008 and 2009.. Mr Dutta Patil who don't wear shoes and ride the bike bare feet.. and everyone was surprized to see him there in chilling places of Himalayas...We stopped at some place and had a sip of tea .. we saw few experts folks rolling some stuff(some stuff for smoking, don't know the exact name..) in a paper.. We were wondering about the fact that its so involved systems that normal panwala keep a packet of such papers which make their life easy.. But no doubt it needs a different skill to do it perfectly... and real smokers like the perfect stuff...Varun was official phoographer for MTB Himachal and he has been involved in many other Photography assignments in Shimla... He can be reached on facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/koolboyvarunHe asked me to click some photographs but I feel sorry about the fact that I was not able to do justice to this great champ.. Here is THE artist of our gang.. Mr. Surbhit @ http://www.facebook.com/surbhitsaxenaPassed from Whistling Woods International Mumbai and now working on various film making projects there.. a great artist having good person to be with...Again Mr. Varun who provided many photographs to MTB officials for PR purpose.. he was very much in demand.. I remember the moment when we were trekking towards the hills from our camp at Kullu Sarahan and he got a call for sending photographs for some local newspapers...
