Recently visited a village called 'Chauntra' in Hamirpur District of Himachal Pradesh, which is surrounded by beautiful Pine Forests and is, IMHO, a lovely place to spend your life. We have a very old house there and my parents visit this place frequently. I see these pigeons everytime I go there... Here are few photographs...
White Pigeon walking slowly...
These pigeons arrive in the morning and go away by 2pm. All our neighbours keep something for them to eat in the common courtyard in the center of 10 houses facing each other. The pigeons come to have breakfast.
This Pigeon is done with breakfast and is sitting on the tiled roof of a typical Himachali House. Just watching and waiting for others to finish and fly back...

Another White Pigeon sitting on the edge and waiting for someone to bring water after breakfast... They have already emptied one pot of water which is specially kept for them...
Hurry up guys.. I am getting bored...
A Gray Pigeon keeping an eye out for danger... Their lives are adventurous and full of risks. Even a simple act of having food is dangerous.
